Abstract
The bachelor thesis describes the current development of mining accidents in the Czech Republic and OKD, a.s., as well as the legal regulation of employer liability for accidents at work and compensation of consequences of accidents at work, especially damage to life and health, and the system of employer liability insurance Work injury. The aim of the thesis is to describe the system of compensation of work injuries in the Czech Republic and in OKD, a.s., which undergoes insolvency proceedings, identify the pros and cons of the applicable legal regulations and propose changes to the insurance system.
