Abstract

The subject of this thesis is to describe fiber-optic sensors using photonic crystal fiber, ie. microstructure fibers, and on the basis of theoretical knowledge in this field experiment to measure selected in which the measured physical quantity. On the basis of this measurement methodology and establish measurement procedure. Production of such photonic (microstructure) fibers in the field of fiber optics, one of the newest innovations, which offers a great challenge for the new knowledge in the field of variable properties of the fibers and then use those in the sensory experience, for which this fiber is due to its construction of an absolutely perfect. Since fiber optics are increasingly beginning to venture into different industries, explosive environments, where the coal mines must comply with the strictest safety requirements, on which human life depends, is the use of fiber-optic sensors, one of the cheapest, safest, fastest and ultimately accurate alternative.
