Abstract

This thesis deals with waste management in the city Bilina, focusing on the separation of biological waste from mixed municipal waste and its treatment. The work consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the biological waste, its, characteristics, classification and the usage. The theoretical part passes gradually into practical, which describes the current system of collection of biological waste in the city Bilina, the costs of the waste management town Bilina between 2008 and 2010, also deals with access to the inhabitants of the separation of biowaste and assess the current state of waste management system in the city. The aim of this study was to determine the pros and cons of the current system of bio-waste management in Bilina and propose aolutions to rationalize the management of biological waste in the city.
