Analýza obecně prospěšných prací v rámci výkonu trestu

Abstract

The objective of this Bachelor thesis is to perform an analysis focused on execution of community services within the framework of sentence execution in Ústí nad Labem. In the first place, the thesis states the terminology related with alternative punishment of community service, the principle of its origination, its execution as such, termination and possible transformation of alternative punishment hours not worked into a prison sentence. Another part of the thesis deals with own analysis of alternative punishment use efficiency in case of self-governing units in Ústí nad Labem. The conclusion of the Bachelor thesis is dedicated to suggestions that might contribute to wider use of this alternative punishment by self-governing units and courts, as the state does not have to spend large sums of money on thus sentenced persons in connection with their imprisonment and in case of performing an alternative punishment the state saves not negligible amounts of money otherwise spent on maintenance of communications and public greenery.
