Abstract

Engineering-geological Survey by exploratory gallery is an integral part of a survey of large tunnels. It's especially important in localities with complicate geological conditions, in the built-up areas or in areas with large thickness of overburden. Through exploratory gallery we get information direct at the place of future tunnel's realization. It allows us to carry out many tests and measurements directly in the exploration gallery and take samples for further laboratory analyses and subsequently specify mechanical, physical and technological properties of the rock massif. This thesis describes individual methods of engineering-geological survey and its practical use. The aim of this work is to carry out this survey in currently excavated gallery Radlická, evaluate the resulting parameters and the advantages of individual methods and possibly consider other options the survey.
