Abstract
The thesis the evaluation of slag regime in the ladle when using synthetic slags with focus on desulphurisation of steel. Operational experiments with different synthetic slags were processed under conditions of steel plant VÍTKOVICE HEAVY MACHINERY a.s. For evaluation of steel desulphurization during secondary metallurgy within the plant experiments, three different types of synthetic slags based on Al2O3 were chosen. This synthetic slags differed among themselves in the basic raw materials, used production technology, chemical composition and granulometry. First, the influence of tested synthetic slags was compared with the degree of desulphurization and further their influence on the desulphurization ability of slags was evaluated with the analysis of the impact of selected parameters on the desulphurization degree of slag. Monitored parameters include: basicity, optical basicity, content of easily reducible oxides, CaO/Al2O3 ratio and Mannesmann´s index.
