Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis in theoretical part describes parts of the off-grid system, its dividing into the source part, the accumulation part and the consumption part and individual elements of all mentioned parts. The source part describes the principle, types and individual components of photovoltaic panels and wind power plants, accumulation part describes methods of energy storage according the type of storage medium and charge controllers that are also part of the accumulation part. Part of the consumption describes inverters and smart homes. The market analysis section describes photovoltaic panels and small wind power plants currently available on the market, focusing on the possibility of integration into building structures and their properties. The result is a comparison and evaluation of available products that can be used in designing of off-grid systems.
