Zajištění přepravních kapacit u společnosti poskytující logistické služby

Abstract

The thesis is focused on planning of transport capacity issues in DHL Express (Czech Republic) s.r.o., which is one of the biggest company in express parcel services. The aim of this thesis is to provide a sufficient capacity of service vehicles in Ostrava area. The part aim is to optimize the current routes so the travelled distance is minimized as well as the costs and time, which is needed for transport between customers. The theoretic part of the thesis is focused on characterization of the company and also on provide transport services while putting emphasis on messenger and express parcel services. The practical part deals with the analysis of data from last three years and also the growth coefficient of volume and quantity of shipment is estimated here. Based on the analysis, there are two potentially overloaded routes, so that why the decomposition by p-median is used for them. All the routes are finally optimized thanks to travelling salesman method, the results are compared with current situation and are also discussed possible limitation, which could appear in reality.
