Abstract

This thesis discusses the impact of interference on parameters of digital subscriber line. In a short theoretical part this thesis describes the basic specifics of ADSL2+ technology, the origin of interference and classifies the various kinds of interference affecting parameters of digital subscriber line. In the main part, noise generator Spirent DSL 5103 simulated eleven kinds of interference, including white noise, crosstalk and impulse noise. This practical measurements studied the influence of the chosen kind of influence on achievable bit rate and range of digital subscriber line. These measurements are further developed by analysing the changes in SNR value of DMT subchannels caused by the interference.
