Možnost využití doprovodných surovin při těžbě uhlí na lomech SD a.s. Chomutov

Abstract

The bachelor work concentrates on accompanying raw materials during the brown coal excavation and their possible use from the location of the Northern Bohemian quarries, such as Chomutov.

The Northern Bohemian quarries represent the biggest producent of brown coal in the Czech Republic. They carry out their production activity in two excavating localities in the quarry Nastup Tušimice and in the quarry Bilina. The main subject of the enterprise is the output, the preparation and the brown coal market. Further raw materials, which have industrial use, are exploited during the excavation of overlying rocks for the release of the coal seam. They are so called accompanying raw materials as for example ceramic clays, kaolins, brickmaking raw materials, sands, oxihumolits, sealing clays. Their excavation and following sale bring also a certain financial effect for the excavating organization, it enables making use of further raw materials and it mainly means ensuring jobs in treatment industry in the given area. The excavation and the making use of accompanying raw materials are becoming in this way a very interesting matter from the point of view of the region development.
