Abstract

The thesis deals with system defect solution on tram tracks as applied in Dopravní podnik Ostrava a.s. conditions. In the first part of the thesis the development of tram transport and the current state of tram track construction is described. It is followed by a description of the process of monitoring of the parameters of the track according to current legislation. The main part of the thesis deals with the suggested solution of classification and categorization of such defects which serve for satisfactory characterization of tram track defects. The final part of the thesis presents a suggestion how to use a unified model of the characteristics of tram track defects as a relevant base which will allow for a systematic evaluation of such defects with significance for prevention and planning.
