Abstract

Bachelor thesis deals with the preparation and characterization of nanostructures graphitic C3N4 and BiVO4 for decomposition of azo dye Acid Orange 7. Nanocomposites were prepared and subsequently subjected to characterization by methods, such as transmission electron microscopy, physisorption, X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, luminescence spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and photocatalytic degradation of AO7. This bachelor thesis is composed of theoretical and experimental part. In the theoretical part there are properties of water, the basic principle of photocatalysis, basic description of azo dyes, namely Acid Orange 7 and the characteristics of g-C3N4, BiVO4 and methods used. At the beginning of the experimental part are used the used chemicals and devices for characterization and parameters of these devices. The experimental part continues with the preparation of the individual nanostructures of graphitized C3N4 and BiVO4 and their mixtures in a weight ratio of 1: 1, 1: 2 and 1: 3. The main part of the experimental part of the bachelor thesis is individual characterization, where each of them is presented together with partial results and commentary.
