Abstract

The current offer of sports facilities on the campus of VSB - TU Ostrava is inappropriate to its capacity and to the demands of students in the 21 century. The aim of my thesis is to reform this situation. The project designs a university sport-centre as two multipurpose buildings with sport, cultural and social charges. The first object is focused more on the passive consumption of the top sport and culture and on the wellness regeneration. The second object, on the contrary, offers an active enjoyment in fitnesses, playrooms, reading rooms, music studios, gyms and on the walkable roof. The form of both objects is determined by their urban and ideological context.
