Abstract

The aim of my thesis is to find changes to the flash point of mixtures of flammable liquids on the safety of use. The introductory part is devoted to the legislation, the characteristics of the liquid substance, the difference between the ideal and the real liquid, its evaporation and boiling. All flammable substances are defined by as fire-technical characteristics, which are necessary for carrying out risk analyses in relation to the risk of fire and explosion of any process. The next section describes the very flammable liquid, toxic, flash point, namely, to focus on the minimum and maximum flash point of mixtures, as well as gases and vapors of flammable liquids, which can form explosive atmosphere. I focused on the way of protection against fire and explosion, and how to design against fire and detonation prevent. In the final part the results of the laboratory measurements that have been made for binary mixtures of flammable liquids, which I’m using to assess effects of reduction or increase of the flash point for safe use.
