Architektonický návrh rodinného domu s nahrávacím štúdiom

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis presents the architectural design of a single-family house that includes a publicly accessible recording studio. The goal of the project was to develop a comprehensive architectural and technical concept that combines the requirements of permanent family housing with the inclusion of a small-scale commercial function. The design continues from an architectural study created in a previous design studio course (Ateliérová tvorba I) and was further developed and refined in Ateliérová tvorba V, incorporating knowledge gained throughout the bachelor’s degree program. The thesis addresses architectural composition, spatial and functional organization, structural and material solutions, and aesthetic form. The building is composed of three interconnected rectangular volumes of different heights and functions. The first volume is a single-storey structure housing the recording studio, accessible to the public and equipped with sanitary and communication spaces. The second and tallest volume serves as the main residential area, with private and social zones clearly separated by floors. The third, lowest volume in the center contains a double garage and connects the studio and residential wings. The architectural concept emphasizes clean massing, functional clarity, and a timeless aesthetic. The building integrates well with its surroundings due to its scale and modest expression. The facade is finished in white (RAL 9003), complemented by dark grey elements (RAL 7016) used for window and door frames, metal trims, and shading devices. All windows are equipped with triple glazing and external blinds. The site design includes two main entrances, visitor parking, direct access from the road, and connection to outdoor spaces. The resulting design demonstrates that it is feasible to integrate a publicly accessible function into a private residential structure without compromising user comfort or privacy. The work illustrates the entire architectural process—from conceptual design to detailed construction documentation.
