Abstract

The master thesis deals with automobile V2V communication using LED technology, in terms of the transmitting side. Specifically, the use of this technology is regarding the contour and function of the rear brake light in Skoda Octavia III. The theoretical part focuses on features of fiber optics and development in motor industry, communication bus systems and modulation formats. The practical part is composed of a set of measurements with the desired broadcast system in a dark room VSB - TUO and research department of the company Varroc Lighting Systems Ltd. Where the aim is to implement the system first for each function separately and subsequently determine whether the communication is affected by the influence of the current irradiation of both functions. In testing the quality of communication, the baud rate and errors are detected due to the determined reference distances, the carrier frequency and the number of states of the modulation. Furthermore, the effect of changing the optical power and homogeneity photometry of optical radiation emitted by the two functions use the LED before and after the integration of the modulation system.
