Analýza teplotných charakteristík mesta Žilina s využitím údajov DPZ

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of temperature characteristics of the city of Žilina using remote sensing data. The aim of the thesis is to process satellite imagery and evaluate the spatial distribution of land surface temperature (LST). The theoretical part addresses the issue of remote sensing and thermal data. Attention is also paid to the principles of land surface temperature calculation and its interpretation. In the practical part, satellite images from Landsat 4, Landsat 5, Landsat 8, and Landsat 9 are used. The data were processed in a GIS environment using standardized procedures. Based on these data, land surface temperature was derived for selected time periods. The analysis focuses on the comparison of summer and winter periods. Special attention is given to the urban heat island effect. The results are presented in the form of map outputs and graphs. The findings are compared with selected studies from Slovakia and abroad
