Kontaminácia krajinných zložiek na opustených Cu-ložiskách stredného Slovenska.

Abstract

The PhD thesis Country component contamination at the abandoned Cu-deposits of central Slovakia show the formation and development of selected model-areas – dump-fields at Staré Hory (Richtárová) and Ľubietová (Podlipa and Reiner). Using GIS tools were elaborated the base data about the country components (soil, water) contamination as a consequence of mining activities which influenced the pollution of the territory by heavy metals and the visualization of obtained data. The next aim of the thesis is the modeling of contamination spread in country, of potential erosion and of pollution spread kinetics. The results of the thesis will be able serve as a model base for country contamination visualization also at other mining regions also in abroad as well as a support for pedagogical activities, both in the field of environmental science and GIS teaching. Components of the thesis are also demonstrations of the dump-fields heavy metal contamination visualization and some other GIS-modelings.
