Abstract

Summary The diploma thesis Rainwater Management in the Area of Třinec – Sosna Hospital focuses on the possibilities of rainwater management within the hospital area. It describes the site in terms of its location, buildings, paved surfaces, and existing drainage infrastructure.Currently, rainwater from roofs and paved areas is discharged through the existing stormwater sewer system without significant further use. Based on technical standards and legislative requirements, two variants were proposed: a decentralized system using roof rainwater mainly for irrigation, ornamental water features, and technical purposes, and a centralized system with one main retention tank.The thesis also includes the design of retention tank capacities and an economic evaluation of both variants. The aim is to determine the most suitable technical and economic solution for the hospital area.
