Abstract

The aim of the thesis is the portrayal of one of the seven deadly sins-Pride, in the form of artistic casting. The entire work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the work includes analysis of seven major sins, the greatest emphasis is put on the pride, which is devoted to this work. In other sections of the theoretical part is summarised the historical development of the portrayal of Pride in different kinds of art, such as painting, graphics, sculpture, and literature. Second, the practical part of the thesis contains a description of the implementation of the sculpture of brass. Description of the implementation includes drawing the design, manufacture, model, production of moulds, the casting, the final edit and the final appearance of the casting.
