Abstract

The present thesis deals with the soil seed bank associated with phytosociological survey on selected water-bearing subsidence basins in Karvina part of the Ostrava - Karvina district. The theoretical part provides information on natural and anthropogenic conditions of Karvina district, explains the genesis and importance of water-bearing subsidence troughs as a result of deep coal mining and discusses the possibilities of their rehabilitation. It also defines and classifies the concept of soil seed bank, introduces the possibilities of its study and explains its importance and dynamics. The practical part describes the test model surfaces and explains the methodology used in solving of vegetation analysis. In the practical part we are also presented results of phytosociological survey and soil seed bank based on the cultivation and extraction methods.
