Optimalizace formovací směsi při výrobě masivních odlitků z grafitizujících slitin železa

Abstract

Engineering companies processing foundry castings require that many parts of the casting be already precast so that the final machining requires as few operations as possible. These requirements mean that casting manufacturers must focus much more heavily on modern technology to apply these treatments. This is because very often it involves difficult installations of cores in the thermal nodes of the casting, or inaccessible surface cavities for final finishing of the casting. For these reasons, it is necessary to develop highly heat-resistant moulding sands with minimal tendency to thermal expansion and penetration of the liquid metal.
