Abstract

The thesis analyses the process of planning in a manufacturing company. The first part of the paper describes planning as a management function in the context of other management functions, while the second section highlights the importance of company planning and covers relevant terminology. The third part describes the process of company planning, as well as the process of creating a long-term strategic plan, and the last chapter examines the trends and approaches to strategic planning, concluding with a review of its benefits and the main thought processes that underline the text of the abstract.
