Financial Analysis of Selected Company

Abstract

Financial analysis is the process of analyzing and evaluating the financial status, operating results and cash flow status of an enterprise based on financial statements. The goal of the thesis is to apply selected financial analysis methods in order to evaluate the financial position of the Walt Disney company between 2015 and 2019. The thesis is divided into five chapters. First chapter is a general introduction of the thesis. In the second chapter, we describe the financial analysis theory. In the third chapter, we summarize the basic information of the Walt Disney company. In the fourth chapter, we use the methods of common-size analysis, financial ratio analysis and pyramid analysis to analyze the financial status of the Walt Disney company. Chapter 5 is the conclusion.

Finanční analýza je proces analýzy a hodnocení finančního stavu, provozních výsledků a stavu peněžních toků podniku na základě účetních výkazů. Cílem bakalářské práce je aplikovat vybrané metody finanční analýzy za účelem vyhodnocení finanční situace společnosti Walt Disney v letech 2015 až 2019. Práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol. První kapitola je obecným úvodem práce. Ve druhé kapitole je popsána teorie finanční analýzy. Ve třetí kapitole jsou shrnuty základní informace o společnosti Walt Disney. Ve čtvrté kapitole používáme metody vertikální a horizontální analýzy, analýzy poměrových ukazatelů a pyramidového rozkladu k analýze finančního stavu společnosti Walt Disney. Pátá kapitola tvoří závěr práce.
