Abstract

This thesis deals with a composition of material of a ball joint. There exists any amount of ball joints and they are used in hundreds of branches of industry, machines or apparatus. Thesis informs about basics, functionality and primarily about content of chemical components in this part. Ball joints form an integral part of a vehicle’s chassis. There are many of them in the steering gear of the vehicle. That is why this thesis regards primarily ball joints in the car industry. Practical part explains methods of analysis which ascertained presence of individual components in a prepared sample. This section also demonstrates preparation of the sample itself.
