Abstract

Thesis reports on Hutnická zaměstnanecká pojišťovna financial management between years 2005 - 2008. Aim of the piece of work is to evaluate the financial management of this health insurance company, identify problems with financing and suggest measures which could help solving the identified problems. The main hypothesis consists in a statement that the health insurance company does not face any ups and downs in management, is able to reimburse the health care to its insurees and to fulfilment of liabilities does not need to operate with foreign capital. Theoretical part of the thesis delimitates the essence of the public health insurance, sphere of action of insurace companies and a revision of public health care system. Analysis of financial management and suggestions of measures which could improve the position of the analysed insurance company in the market are described in a practical part of the thesis.
