The diploma thesis creates metodology for determinig ideal manpower of security guards in shopping centers. The theoretical part deals with shopping centers as a phenomenon of modern age. It contains chapters of its types, history and division. This part contains also various criminal activities and extraordinary event, which may happends in such places and become a security threat for customers. Practical part answers the question of determining manpower of security guards. This part discusses activity of security guards and analyzes potential security risks. In the end it creates formula to calculate the ideal number of manpower of security guards, through this formula is detected difference between the actual and ideal state.
