Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the establishment of a calibration base in the basement of the University of Mining - Technical University of Ostrava. The theoretical part of this work is devoted to metrology as a scientific discipline, calibration of electro-optical rangefinders, approximation of the principle of measuring lengths in geodesy and description of individual types of rangefinders, which are currently used. The practical part of this work is devoted to the establishment of the calibration base, the execution of the calibration procedure, the calibration of EDM and the execution of the calibration sheet.
