Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the exploration of inventories molluscs (aquatic and terrestrial) to post - mining watered subsidence in Karviná region. Part of this work was also to do the field study on eight selected locations (collecting was done during the spring - autumn 2013). The main task was to determine the species composition and abundance of snail inhabiting these habitats. This work also describes the morphology of Czech representatives of phylum Mollusca - snails (Gastropoda) and mussels (Bivalvia), including their ecological requirements, and the characteristics of post – mining watered subsidence. During field research there were found a total of 25 kinds of mollusc, of which 13 are terrestrial gastropods (10 with a conch and 3 without it), 10 aquatic mollusc and 2 representatives of bivalve. In terms of vulnerability was reported one species almost endangered - Aplexa hypnorum. There were also found three non-native species in studies areas - Arion lusitanicus, Potamopyrgus antipodarum and Physella acuta.
