dc.description.abstractThe usefulness of calculation of the movement condition and resistance of friction guides has been verified repeatedly by experiments, however commonly known methods of evaluation concern only planar guides with the counter force acting along a guide axis. Presented optimization is based on the generalized algorithm of the guide movement, which takes into account the influence of counter force position and spatial arrangement of forces on the efficiency of guides. In the paper chosen example of guide is described but the method can be used in other configurations. Computer optimization program, prepared by the author, enables suitable adaptation of ojective function, decision variables and contraints to the designing problem and various forms of guides.
