Abstract
The dissertation focuses on the mathematical modelling of fires, which currently belongs to still developing the field. It may be the next modern tool to help in the investigation of the fire. The results obtained using mathematical models is possible to describe the spread of fire in a confined space. At present are the most widely used two main approaches to modelling the spread of fires and smoke, and that is zone models and field models.
The work is for the use of computer mathematical fire modelling use software Smartfire. Software Smartfire is one of the models of field models and allows fire modelling in a confined space. For the first comparison of experimental data with calculated were used the published experimental values obtained in fire tests performed by Steckler et al.
In another part of the work were modelled using software Smarfire fire tests simulating the fires scenarios – fire of gas, liquid fire, and fire of wood and kitchen fire in the building Modřany sugar refinery and were compared experimental values with calculated. Fire tests were carried out within the research project of the Fire Technical Institute in the room of the former Modřany sugar refinery.
The main aim of this work was based on modelled scenarios to develop the methodology for the using of the software Smartfire to the objectification conclusions fire technical expertise. The methodology is divided into several chapters and should serve as a guide for the simulation of fire scenarios in proving that a hypothesis of the development of fire is probable or not.
