Abstract

The specified thesis addresses the design and assessment of building a roof using thin sections (trapezoidal sheet and purlin profiles), that are designed according to the selected manufacturer´s (Company Rukki) and subsequently assessed by manual calculation according to the applicable standards ČSN EN 1993-1-1 and ČSN EN 1993-1-3. It also addresses the design and preliminary assessment of the three variants of trusses from thick-walledrectangular profiles and their mutual comparison especially from an economic perspective. Another task of the thesis is the design and an assessment of selected joints, together with detailed plans for the specified construction.
