Abstract
The scope of this thesis is the legislative framework of the Czech Republic, which is changed as European legislation. It identifies existing measures to protect water resources. And funding opportunities for meet the objectives of the Water Framework Directive. This thesis evaluates the results of implementation of development plans of the Odra river basin as well as measures to improve the unsatisfactory situation water resources in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
