Abstract

Abstract The main assignment of this diploma thesis was drafting of proposals related to the improvement of the purchasing process and the storage in the manufacturing factory. The basis for the drafting was the theoretical and methodological basis for the purchase logistics and planning and management of the inventory. Suggestions for improvement in the purchasing process was target on the improvement of work with inventory, where was used the ABC analysis which was applied in terms of financial value on the total cost of inventory. In this area was proposed the application of the selected prediction method, which can vastly improved the increasing tendency of the stock´s financial value and help to adjust the ordered quantity. For group of metallurgical materials was proposed, as another purchasing tool, using of the e - auctions or creation of a purchasing alliance with a factory, which has similarly or equally oriented production. The area of improvement in the inventory storage process was focused on suggestions associated with unambiguous identification of individual stock items. Further, on base of CRAFT spatial method was suggested new way of storing material to decrease internal transport costs. Mentioned proposals for improvement of the purchasing process and the storage can be used practical in any manufacturing factory, where they can help to reduce the costs associated with both issues.
