Příprava a charakterizace nanovláken polykaprolaktonu s antimikrobiální povahou

Abstract

This diploma thesis is focused on preparation and characterization of polycaprolactone nanofibers with antimicrobial nanofiller, formed by the natural clay mineral vermiculite as a carrier with bonded chlorhexidine and ciclopiroxolamine as organic antimicrobial component and for possible synergic effect, the inorganic active component zinc oxide was also bounded. The structure of powder samples was characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis, infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy with EDS analysis, the particle size distribution and ζ-potential, specific surface area and the organic carbon content. The evaluation of polymer nanofibers structure was performed by scanning electrone microscopy, determining the wetting angle, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. At least, the antimicrobial activity against strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans was detected only with sample PCL/ZnOVER_CPX.
