Abstract

A company that wants to be successful on the market must know its customers, know what their needs are and how to best meet those them. Therefore, the aim of this bachelor thesis will be to analyse the competitiveness of the selected company, which for the sake of anonymity is called XY s.r.o. in this thesis, and based on the results of the basic and generally recommended analyses, to propose possible recommendations for reducing the risks of the company or improving the position of the company on the market. The whole thesis is divided into two basic parts, the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains basic information, that is the theoretical background of basic concepts and also a description of selected methods of competitiveness analysis, which were necessary for the practical assessment of the selected company. In the practical part, the selected company was first introduced and then the selected methods were applied to evaluate the presented company. Selected methods include PEST analysis, Porter's analysis, Financial analysis and SWOT analysis. With the help of the results from the applied methods of competitive analysis, important facts were summarized and suggestions were recommended to maintain the market position. From the analyses conducted, it tis concluded that the selected company is competitive, has a very good market position and is financilly healthy.
