Abstract

This thesis aims to perform an analysis of the usage of low-power photo-voltaic power plants for powering of family house. An analysis of the energy demand of a household and of the possibility for using a photo-voltaic power plant installed on the roof of a family house is conducted. In addition, we propose a conception of power supply for a household during the whole year. All of the model situations in this thesis are designed using a photo-voltaic geographical information system PVGIS. A financial comparison of conventional power systems and the system with a contribution of the photo-voltaic power plant is given, with respect to the yield of the designed photo-voltaic power plant. Given that the government no longer supports any photo-voltaic systems launched after December 31, 2013, the designed model situation is a comparison between the years 2013 and 2015. This fact led me to prepare a model situation, where the photo-voltaic power plant is run in a hybrid regime.
