Abstract

This thesis deals with the management of inventories in an industrial company Maxion Wheels Czech, s. r. o., which engaged in the manufacture of passenger aluminum wheels and steel wheels. The thesis is divided into five sections. These are then divided into sub-sections. The first part is focused on basic information of a company and its history, characteristics and establishment of the company. Further, there is described the manufacturing process of passenger wheels. The next chapter is already focused on the procurement process of the company, where is part devoted to inventory management using methods that are related to this. Finally, the work will also address the optimization procedures. The aim is to focus on the profit, revenue measures, prices and search for savings in cost and based on these data to suggest optimization techniques of inventory management.
