Obnova funkcí zeleně významného krajinného prvku v městském prostředí

Abstract

The objective of this thesis is a study of the functions of a significant landscape element in an urban environment. The model area is on plot no. 1093 in the land registry of Ostrava Mariánské Hory. The area is bordered by the streets Zelená, Výstavní, and 1. máje, and by a hardened pedestrian pathway which connects the streets Výstavní and 1. máje. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the term “significant landscape element”, describes the features of a significant landscape element, and delimits the term “urban environment”. It also covers the history of the model area. The practical part contains individual usage studies of the model area in order to fulfill the functions of a significant landscape element in an urban environment. The thesis contains a map of the model area processed in ProgeCAD 2008 Professional, a map of study no. 2 processed in ProgeCAD 2008 Professional, photographic documentation, and historic photographs evidencing the development of the area.
