Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the design and structural assessment of a steel elevator shaft structure. Out of three developed design variants, one is subjected to a more detailed assessment. The primary selection criterion was the overall deformation of the structure, which is decisive due to the glazing of the shaft. The design and assessment cover the entire structure, including the foundations. The thesis focuses primarily on the steel components, specifically on the assessment of the Ultimate Limit State (ULS) and the Serviceability Limit State (SLS). The influence of the bimoment is also taken into account for selected profiles. Furthermore, the work includes the design of assembly joint, anchoring, and a selected shop weld. The project is presented in the form of technical drawing documentation at the level required for a building permit.
