Abstract

Bachelor thesis describes research of optimal conditions for the sorption of sulphate. The search section describes the occurrence of sulfates in water, biosorption theory and individual effects that can have on her influence and characteristics of the selected biosorbent. It was tested on fungus Fomitopsis pinicola. To describe the adsorption data were used two mathematical models of Langmuir and Freundlich. It seems most appropriate model Langmuir. Effect of pH on the biosorption mechanism was studied for the pH range of 2 to 9. It seems most appropriate to pH = 4 - 7, when maximum of adsorption capacity was detected as 5,00 mg/g. The ideal temperature for this process was 20 ºC and optimum batch concentration of biosorbent was 20 g/l.
