Strategická analýza podniku v oblasti ubytovacích a stravovacích služeb

Abstract

The thesis is dedicated to strategic analysis of Hotel XY. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic concepts relating to strategic analysis and hotels. Besides the basic concepts, the theoretical part specifies the methods associated with strategic analysis – PEST analysis, Porter’s Five Forces of Competitive Position Model, BCG-matrix, and GM-TREND. The practical part describes Hotel XY, its organizational structure, services and facilities. This is followed by an elaboration of the methods specified in the theoretical part. The methods described in theory in Chapter 2 are applied to a specific hotel. Conclusions are drawn from each method. The last but one part of the thesis makes 2 suggestions on the basis of the performed strategic analysis of the hotel.
