Abstract
Thesis is focused on the issue of ballistic protection based on fibers and promising carbon materials.The theoretical part describes the current types of fibers suitable for ballistic protection, deal with their important mechanical properties, explains the concept of soft and hard ballistic protection, clarify ballistic testing of body armor and discuss promising carbon-based materials. The experimental part is focused on the synthesis of ballistic promising material based on carbon using chemical vapor deposition, its subsequent characterization and measure mechanical properties.
