Virtuální síťové topologie v elastickém cloudu Amazon EC2

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the creation of virtual network topologies in Amazon elastic cloud EC2. The first part describes the working of the network constructs in an Amazon Elastic Compute and Virtual Private Clouds. It explains how the virtualization is provided and covers operation principle of virtual networks from Amazon. It also defines service and user management possibilities and user access control options. The second part is the practical part which specifies possible network scenarios to create network topologies. This part details use of an automated script that retrieves information from the general network topology which exists in form of a language of choice. The script enables automatic creation of virtual network elements from virtual machines running on Linux in Amazon Web Services. The result could be used to create network topology in real production environments. The practical part also highlights the scalability potential of the script and potential limitations arising from the chosen language for describing network topologies. The last section demonstrates the redundant access to the private cloud using a virtual private network.
