Význam technických památek pro cestovní ruch v Ostravě

Abstract

This bachelor work named “The importance of technological sightseeings for tourist industry in Ostrava”. In the theoretical part is concentrated on explanation of basic terms in the sphere of tourist industry. It describes the term technical sightseeing and its division. In the practical part I characterise Moravian-Silesian region, the town Ostrava-its history and parts of the town with their technical sightseeings. In the next part of the work I describe chosen technical sightseeings, which are Landek Park, Vítkovické ironworks, Mine Hlubina, mine and coking plant Karolina and Mine Michal. I evaluate these technical sightseeings as the most important in Ostrava. That is why I describe their history and current time. I also mentioned, at every sightseeing, which is accessible for the visitors, its attendance during the last five years. In the results of the research I tried by help of questionnaires to find out the awareness of people about technical sightseeings in Ostrava. The aim of the bachelor work is to give the people insight into the importance of these chosen technical sightseeings not only for tourist industry.
