Abstract

The aim of this thesis, the selection and configuration of software (or their combinations) for studio creating of electronic music. This software or its connection with other one should be able to use as well as software for DJing and live performance. The solution should be designed purposefully and effectively that way, that both of these functionalities can be also operated by using a single interface. Also hardware what will be used for this solution should be selected. This hardware should be also configured to function in both modes. In the theoretical part has been described electronic music, history of techniques of music production and DJing, audio formats, the interfaces used in creating music, hardware and software of DJing and music production and theory of decision analysis methods, which is going to be used for software selection In the analysis part was described current situation of the contracting authority of this solution, his explicit requirements for the final solution, the current state of the market with software for music production and the current state of market with software for DJing. In the practical part of this thesis is used the method of decision analysis to choose the best software and on it’s end is choosen software Ableton Live. For this is choosen appropriate sound card, MIDI controller for its control and involvement in both modes has been carefully specified. Then the software has been configured for the needs of professional DJ and in second parts specifically for the music producer. This solution has been then implemented by the contracting authority of this thesis. A majority of its requirements were met and the objective has been achieved without any reservations.
