Abstract
This work is focused on municipal waste landfill fires. The first part deals with the nature and composition of municipal waste due to flammability. In the second part of landfill fires are classified by place of origin. There are also explained the causes of fires landfill. In the experimental section compares the methods of disposal of solid waste landfill fires in the Czech Republic and abroad.
