Abstract
The aim of this thesis is the analysis and comparison of futures trading on the Prague Stock Exchange, Budapest Stock Exchange, Warsaw Stock Exchange and Vienna Stock Exchange. The first part describes different types of financial market and securities. The second chapter is focused on defining generic futures contract, and ways of the trading. The third part contains profiles of individual stock markets, and comparison of the futures traded during the years 2003 to 2008. The last part outlines possible future development in futures trading.
