Obnova městské struktury U Brány v Příboře

Abstract

The thesis focuses on the infill development within the historic urban fabric of Příbor, specifically U Brány street. The site is located along an important route connecting the commercial area of the town with Sigmund Freud Square and represents a key spatial and functional node within the town. The objective of the thesis is to propose a new development combining residential functions with public amenities, accompanied by a concept for high-quality public space. The design is based on an analysis of the historical context and the current urban needs. It aims for the sensitive integration of new architecture into the existing urban structure. Emphasis is placed on creating a cohesive, vibrant, and attractive environment that supports the long-term sustainability and development of Příbor’s historic core.
