Abstract

This thesis deals with interpretation of investment and operating costs of solar power stations working on the base of photovoltaic phenomenon. In the first part there is an explanation of specific attributes of solar power stations and their separation according to their application and size. In the second part there is a name list of operating and planned solar power plants in the Czech Republic. The third part deals with photovoltaic systems` investment and operating costs and their economical return of the investment costs. Other part deals with legislation impacts that influence economic of photovoltaic systems and questions about expanding this source of energy from the ecological aspect. The last part deals with an applicable potential of solar power plants in the Czech Republic.
